The Indian Ocean

A Poem by Poppy Ruth Silver

Oh Ratnākara!

'tis the mine of gems, a vast

and emotional presence.

Poppy Ruth, You know you write on a level much higher than I do; you are, after all, a published author. I had to go to Bing to look up Ratnakara, and I see that there are groups doing research in the Indian Ocean. After reading that I still really don't understand.
Your writing is exceptional and I am happy for your success. take care...dan

Thank you Valentine...
That was beautiful, keep at it. The usage is before the eyes of god. It was exquisite. I thank you for the words you have written. Your choice of words is very selective, and awakening. I enjoyed it, emmenely.

Richard, thank you for your kind thoughts :)
Short yet powerful...your love for the seemingly never-ending ocean is well expressed.

Many thanks Emily...
Oh, what power this Empress of The Sea holds within her depths!! How majestic are the sounds as each wave rolls on and on and on towards shores that await her visit once again!
She gives life and brings death but is ever that which helps our earth to be the grand creation that is our domain, to keep us connected, to teach, to understand, to hold her jewels as sacred.
