RadianceA Poem by Livana Lowell
a feminist poem
The moon is full of milk
like a woman's breast
like Mary standing on her crest
round and supple like Diana's Lips
to which the wolves profess
and drink the light poured onto the earth
and nourish the cheeks of mothers close to birth
and like a ball gown
sweeps its edges over the ground
upon the grass like blessed rain
upon the feet of little girls in play
upon the backs of women who walk on the porch to contemplate
the ethereal essence of the divine
or admire the way the moon commands the waves onto the shoreline
upon the eyes of women leaders
CEOs, doctors, lawyers, and prime ministers
upon the crowns of wisdom, golden like sunlight
and like stars illuminating the nights.

AboutSooo, hello guys! Not much to say about me. I've been a writer since I was in kindergarten. I used to write stories about dinosaurs surviving the meteor (my favorites ones usually lived) because I had.. more..
