A Poem by Stella Armour

Lord I hear you call

 for you are ever near,

absolute and whole

I hold no other dear.

You give my spirit grace,

humility my all.

 Divine flame of faith,

Lord I hear you call.

I live by your commands

with honour, truth and joy.

Lord I hear you call

your servant to employ.

Sacred healing light

I give myself anew,

Lord I hear you call,

I am listening Lord to you.

Jesus taught his followers to talk to God in the same way that he did – like a child speaks to an adoring father. Spontaneous prayer, such as your offering here is a way of recognising that everything that gives value or joy to life is the gift of a Creator, not merely good fortune. Bless and amen ……… :-)

You give my spirit grace,
humility my all.

I find much depth of reality in these words. Sometimes, to get grace, and achieve success, humility is what we have to trudge through in life, undisguised. Nice imagery here.

gentle soul lifting music to go with your affirmation of faith. I love most string music of almost all kinds, from jigs, to folk, to the music from the East and Africa, to classical. I do think it has a spiritual quality, but like faith, it can be de-flamed, don't you think?

A heart's pure prayer of joy in the openness of the Lord's divine voice, the surrendering to the call, all made only richer in the glorious music. Beautiful sigh of light, dear poet.

Hi Paul, and thank you. :)
Oh dear Stella!!! just my lone sigh I sigh from my core through my whole, I can't tell You how Your prayer song even more appealing to me with the music... Cello is one of my favourite musical instrument, I always dream to know how to play it, I can feel how the music inspired and ignited Your words, high... so high they are, lifting up as they lifting the spirit up, a glorious piece, I can't thank You enough for sharing it and the music. Hugs***
