STILL

STILL

A Poem by DIVYA

Climb into a casket

With the stone dead past

Swim in the ashen seas

Of faded, bygone years

Hide in the blue

Impervious mists of doubt

Buffeted by the cold

Remote winds of distrust

Love will find you

I rarely find myself learning from a poem. When I do, I take it to heart. Love will not find someone with these issues. What can one do when their survival instinct clouds there ability to trust and therefore their ability to love. I ask, can they recover? Can I recover from such doubt and distrust? IDK. Great poem.

Yes! No matter how we try to entomb or escape or evade it, love will find us. Love is the theme and positivity here. Bleak, dark, stunning imagery leading to an uplifting ending. Love this DIVYA!

Thank you so much for appreciating this write, Annette!
Hmm, a poem to ponder when it comes to finding Love in a fickle world. I believe the short nature of this poem adds to its beauty in a strange way and the words you used to describe are a joy to read.

An enjoyable read, as always.

Sincerely, The Bay Harbor Butch. ;)

There is a moving, painful beauty that breathes through your majestic words. Even in the stillness and silence of the stone, there is a hope that remains.

and thriving...indeed it is and will be always.
it will find us...but the question is...will we reawaken to accept it...will we buffer those winds of distrust and give it another chance.

That is something to think about...Thank you so much for your thoughts on this poem Mr. Jacob.
Even a cold heart can be assuaged and ignited in passion if love permeates and infuses it's holistic charms!

Such compelling brevity, confounding poetry, beautiful friend!
