GREAT FALL

GREAT FALL

A Poem by DIVYA
"

Just some nonsense

"

Splat! I watch helplessly

As the lone egg rolls

Slyly off the table’s edge

To splatter silly, on the floor

Leaving a sorry yellow mess

Glop, broken bits of shell

And a lingering bad smell

That won’t quit all day

Telling me to be careful where

I place ol’ Humpty next time

Clearly, free will and free fall

Don’t seem to suit it at all!

Thank you so much for appreciating this poem dear friend!
I am invested in the egg. Did the egg dream of being a bird? So many questions.

A lovely nonsense poem, but actually one with a great message, 'free will and free fall, Don't seem to suit it at all', How true for many of us when we 'trip over the edge'!

Creative. I really like the image it conveys and the animation. It's also pretty funny.

Smiling even in the sorrowful splatting. There is a poetry to everything in life, even moments that seem to be our common times, and you found it, you found a way to give what some call ordinary a rhythm and rhyme and joy that we should always see. Reveals so well your poet heart, dear Divya. Smiling even more now. :)

Haha, dear you! It tried desperately to soak it up, but I fought back hard. ;)
Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall.
But DIVYA wasn't happy with this at all.
She put him on the table.
He had a great fall.
All the kings horses, and all the Kings men.
Made DIVYA their queen.
Mainly because she was able.
And because they hated that bloody fable.

Precisely what happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I was going to write about it but I was lost on what to write. I'm glad to see I'm not the only victim.

Now if I can just learn to crack an egg without getting bits of shell in the pan. :)

Good one DIVYA.

This is super witty and reminds me of how sometimes one can be an unintentional burden to oneself or others around it. Cleaver stuff!
