GIVE HER SILENCE

GIVE HER SILENCE

A Poem by DIVYA
"

She’s the earth. Sow what you need.

"

Give her silence

she will create islands

Give her bricks

she will build a wall

Give her a yard

she will form a fence

Give her a mile

she will raise a citadel

Give her rocks

she will beef up the shore

Give her stones

she will shatter the ceiling

Give her long rope

she will jump the tallest bar

Give her back her wings

she will surely fly

I'm loving Your pen more and more... what a glorious poem of femininity, I found You here, strong, independent, and passionate woman! I specially love Your first part,

"Give her silence
she will create islands"

isn't this what a true poetess like You do? superb dear Divya!

All respect is due to womanhood, the portal that The Creator chose to transport all of us here on Earth.

Thank you so much BlakPrince.
I would like to just say, one of the most endearing traits of this poem is the fact that as a whole for the majority of the poem, what is given... is taken to be used to make something else. Something that enforces, protects, and even shelters. There are several ways of looking at this particular poem, from what I have read it is as a whole, a refined positive picture you have painted with your poetry here.

Thank you so much for appreciating this poem, dear Cherrie.
This is why women should never be left to their own devices. They could quite simply rule the world.
Actually, they probably should be. I think if I could use the two sides of my brain, I would be a genius.
I do notice the absence of man in this poem.
Give her a man, and she'll surely kill him. Okay, I've sorted that for you.

There is no limit to what a woman can accomplish if given her own space..there is always so much more in store yet to to be recognised. Give her a pen and she will write beauty such as this for you to behold

. nice work.Divya

Thank you so much Fran. No limits of what we can make out of the good and bad that comes to us.
DIVYA, your poem has captured what women are capable of achieving on their own and are rarely recognized for their greatness. Yes, behind every great man is a great woman.

Don't let Donald Trump see the second verse:
"Give her bricks
she will build a wall." LOL!

You are truly a talented writer as evidenced by this excellent poem. :-)
