Chaos

Chaos

A Poem by Closed
"

Whatever... Scribbles...

"
I feed my
heart with

snow and
night,

sleepless
and

starving, it
grows

insane
and pumps

the chaos
into my

veins;
gold-dusted

and deadly,
in time with

my art.

It's the biggest irony, in my mind, how our trials and tribulations, our faults and flaws, supply our talents and our creativity; how happenings so cold naturally can, in essence, fuel the fires of what we need to create.

Art -- the life, and the death that can come from our beliefs in it.

This is a beautiful piece of work, even if it's just a sketch of yours. You have a really strong sense of imagery that I am yet to not enjoy. I deeply enjoyed this piece enough to read it over on repeat.

Excellent, Vanessa (I had to pay your profile a mandatory visit, myself).

I like the way you mingle snow and night/sleepless and starving, yet all the pieces are required for your art. I often wonder if writing is a compulsion or an addiction, as so many writers put so much emotion into their creativity that it almost becomes a sense of its own. Not quite understood how it works, just grateful it does.

Some poets have been known to suffer for their art haven't they? Mozart wasn't a poet but he did suffer greatly and was mad in the end I think. So yeah, some find creativity through chaos.

Starry starry night...paint your palatte blue and grey........

Sometimes there is a fine line between art and madness. There is order in chaos. Wonderful imagery and wording.
