Benny and Regrets

Benny and Regrets

A Poem by barleygirl
"

inspired by Jacob & Coyote John . . .

"

If I could turn regrets into an autumn day
I would un-say the times I said “go away”
I’d be watching as Benny pulls in my driveway
straddling his Harley as our smiles ricochet.

Leathers stretched taut over muscular thighs
shirtless tanned skin meant to tantalize
I try not to devour Benny with my eyes
hugging his slim hips between my thighs.

His machine growls down my country lane
wind is whipping my long untied mane
the scent of his hair is like opium in my vein
wishful conjecture might drive me insane.

Rumbling vibrations tingle every nerve
my legs squeeze tight rounding every curve
when Benny leans back I give up my reserve
my fancy is on fire like a drooling perv.

At the top of the ridge we reach our spot
he arranges all the picnic fixin’s he brought
his leathers so taut in a graceful squat
I hear myself whistle like a steamy teapot.

Uncontrollably I tackle him on the quilt
I’d almost forgotten how very well built
my hips take over as they rock and tilt
craving Benny’s hardness to the hilt.

Was Benny a real person? Very funny and clever poem Margie- love that title! Great wordplay. Lovely form, flow, cadence, rhyme as always. So Naughty-ha! Great imagery of a past very steamy interlude with a leather-clad biker. ‘Oh but he’s weird and he’s wonderful’- I’ll say! Started my day with a smile!

Benny must have joined the Jets and flew away. Regret is a bitter lesson but a learning experience.

Thanks Margie! 😊
Jacob & Coyote are two of my all time favorite writers and poet here! I'm so glad their works inspired to write a poem, and this poem is undoubtedly cute & wonderful like those cute furry bunnies😊

I could relate very well with your poem, since I've been around one, in my aunt's place.loved it's gracefullness,it's furry body, and the cute little pearly eyes.He was so fun to be around, and such a playful little bunny that could manage anybody smile, by his mere innocent acts.Thats's what I much admired about that precious little bunny friend😊

Thankyou for making me relive those fond memories again!😊💖

Oh God Margie, I would want Benny for me! He sounds just too good to be true. The poem has a taut, underlying sexual tension in it, well released in the concluding verse. You did an amazing job of taking your reader back to some such raving times of youth. Of course, the great pace and rhyming just enhance the pleasure of this ride. Enjoyed enjoyed! And no I'd not regret. I had it good till I had it. (HUGS)⚘
