And now in your silences

And now in your silences

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

Embracing all of me...

"

You are the water

embracing all of me

the serenity in the ripples

the wild waves of you

I lived in the loving of your words

and now in your silences

as the One came to me again

Love came

so overwhelming

telling me “Don’t fear this loving”

“Don’t fear the wanting”

wanting you never meant selfishness

we were given to each other

how else could we explain this in human words?

only you are willing to listen to my silences

and there is nothing stronger than silence

than stillness

and the music in between

where there is renewal in the quiet expanses

you are the water

embracing all of me.

This made me think of a few things; agape love between humans, the all encompassing, warm, soft, accepting and silent love that doesn't need any turmoil to stay true. Also, when I read it a second time, it made me think of the love shared between the great Creator and the child.

Ophelia drowning in Hamlet's silence- could be a good picture for your poem.

well written in a sea that embraces life or takes it- not sure which.

Nothing stronger than silence, when you find that special someone that makes you happy at all times, one is very fortunate. I too enjoyed our silences. Valentine

This is beautifully written and definitely a strong example of a seemingly abstract love-story genre. Unfortunately, this is not my favorite kind of writing, so I cannot be wholehearted in my admiration for your careful word crafting & imaginative expressions of longing & love. I guess I relate more to something realistic with details that real people actually go thru as they live in a loving way. It's just a matter of personal preference, but I know many people go crazy over writing like this.

Silence is such a great topic for a poem, and you've described that topic wonderfully.

First of all, your visual presentation is amazing ... the picture and font really helped to set the mood of this piece.

As for the poem itself, it was well-written. The description and imagery was lovely. I loved the lines "The serenity in the ripples / the wild waves of you" ... they (like the rest of this poem) evoked a nice (almost ethereal) image and flowed with ease. I like it when a free-verse poem flows ... usually (especially on this site) free-verse is almost indistinguishable from prose, but nevertheless, this piece is poetic in every way

The lack of punctuation was also a good move ... it helped to create a sense of freedom, reminiscent of how it feels when in that "special moment of silence" with a loved one.

I have no critiques to offer ... you did great. Thanks for sharing.

If only humans could understand the mysteries of heart :)....
loved the way you have used the image of water to depict the love of your loved one..
when you truly love someone even their silence is beautiful... you always capture the essence of the love and paint into a very beautiful art so that every one else can feel the divinity of it.. wishing you would keep painting your divinity for the world to admire it ...

In the "silences"-- when people we care for are not around that is when we realize just how much we miss them. That is when have a "renewal in the quiet expanses." That "renewal" can be a refreshing and cleansing experience. Well, that is just how your writing moved me.
The "water" of your poem creates a very fluid and refreshing and write👍
