A Story by allison

you're walking down the street, but everything is different. the sky is peach pink and electric blue clouds w/ multi color lightning bolts striking inside of them fill the upper atmosphere. instead of morning dew, the ground sparkles with gold and white glitter scattering the grass.
the atmosphere enveloping you makes you feel light and nearly invincible. cherry blossom trees surround you, maybe if they could smile they would smile at you only. small animals nuzzle at your legs, all of your favourites.
you could swear you were in your own personal dream world, maybe you were on acid.
everything looked so different and so beautiful, but you? you looked exactly the same. in your original reality, you hated the way you looked. as you started recognizing yourself as you always have been, the look of remorse dripped down every inch of your body. you asked yourself  "why? why is this world so beautiful, but i'm not?".
the animals stopped nuzzling your legs, the colour from the sky drained like the colour drains from a loved one's face on a death bed. the cherry blossom trees wilt and dry up, if they could cry they would cry for you only.
vines snake up your legs to your shoulders, hissing in repentance, "you do not deserve a world with such ethereal essences, you don't even appreciate yourself. will you choose to break free from what everyone has taught you to believe is beautiful? or will you let yourself drown in self deprecation? the choice is yours." with this said, the weight of gravity slams into you.

This is a beautiful visual and I love the concept. I also like your analogy of the color draining from someones face as they die; morbid but it captures the image really well.
