Cartesian in K

Cartesian in K

A Chapter by Debbie Barry

Written in 11th grade, a poem about being. The "K" was because I used my middle name, Kathie, all through high school.

Cartesian in K

June 4, 1986

I am you,
You are me,
We are we
Who do perceive.

Am I me?
Are you you?
We are not
Without perception.

I am you,
You are me,
We are each other,
For we are God.

God creates
What we perceive;
For we are God
When we are we.

And self-created,
We know ourselves
By self-perception.

For Robert A. Heinlein and Michael Valentine Smith - a new definition of the concept of "grok." We who are God, have created Him in Our image.

Debbie Barry
I wrote this when I was 17. I was in love with Stranger in a Strange Land. Initial reactions appreciated.
