Trial

July 5, 1987

Child of night,
In teary darkness,
Lost in pain,
And lost in heartbreak.

The darker thoughts
Plague the mind,
While desperately
Light tries to enter.

Victim of the battle
Between the light and darkness,
Seeking for a victory
On the side of light.

Child of tears,
In painful silence,
Lost and confused,
And needing guidance.

Painful memories
Cloud my vision
Of the inmost
Thoughts I have.

Victim of the battle
Between the light and darkness,
Seeking for a victory
On the side of light.

For Basic Training and for Jenny T.
