A love poem to my then-future second husband.

Relief

October 20, 1999

Wisping tendrils
Gray and gloomy
Haunting shadows
Of what might be.

Then with dawning
Chill mists parting
Light of knowing
Cuts the fear.

Warm breeze blowing
Scatters worries
Demon shapes
All disappear.

Safe and sheltered
Ever loving
All is well
Within your arms.

For Lewis.
