Surrender

Surrender

A Poem by Amber Zoe
"

So far away and yet so near

"
Surrender

Lost inside a lonely tear, captured inside today
Arrows of derision are what I fear, coming from yesterday
Things are not what they appear, encapsulate in gray
So far away and yet so near, carry my soul away

Sweet bells I want to ring for me, beckon me to the sky
The sunshine please envelope me, images fill my mind
I’m blind so please help me to see, show me what I must find
Remove this haze of insanity, release these chains that bind

May the light please dry my tears, envelope me today
May the light please take away my fears, forget about yesterday
Things are not what they appear, your light negates the gray
Your love within is not too near, carry me home today
