A Poem by Khatoon Hazara

erase-
and be erased-
my memories have put you on this path,
it is ok,

wonder-
what it is you seek-
that seems to fit gracefully between your
pulses,

it seems i cannot find your desires-
i've had them once-
pardon if i've lost them in the sands of time,

your mind entangles me-
and i'm lost in the sound of your voice-
pushing, pulling, pushing, pulling,

i've heard it takes forever to pull an enmity-
that the sheath of a thousand stars pulls at you from all angles-
if so, how do we know if it is true; this feeling between us,

this moment, the one where it's constantly now-
we cannot guarentee its' existance-
it dies with each piece of information, no longer existing,

we can only hope-
and while we do so, we can give-
we can love others whose hearts are as dark as ours.
