my eyes

my eyes

A Poem by Khatoon Hazara

my eyes are my own-
its' seen so many of your killings'-
i've never yearned for anything
more in my life, than to look away,

your eye sockets seem so wide-
the expanse is your contentment-
and the screams you cause are imminent,

let the fine lines cover you-
the veins encasing your face like
a demon being entrapped in Hell
forevermore-
my, my, my; you're downing that cup nicely,
