Elf Stories: 184

By Lucien Maier

Edited By Temperance Penrod

I got a late start, but I was dead set to have a good ride. I smell winter in the air and when she grabs hold this year I don’t think she184mapwill let go till spring. Its good we need the water, but with the snow comes putting the bike up on blocks.

I can feel it.

The season is drawing to a close and I wanted to do one route. Which was a long review of the entire year of riding. As best as I can figure I have put about 12,000 miles on Elf.

Wow I love this! I know nothing about riding, so you did a great job of setting up the scene from the beginning , and then describing in detail how the bike runs and your connection with it. This story has great imagery and attention to detail that can make anyone whose never ridden before interested in it. I'm thrilled to read more!

Every time I read on of your stories, I'm tempted to buy a bike. I have no experience with riding so, I don't know where to begin. One day.

I can relate to this particular excerpt because snow is basically the embodiment of being trapped. Great job.

I really like your ability to take your passion for bikes and translate it into very readable and enjoyable stories.
