Adagio Tears/By Sami Khalil

The Poem:

------------------------------------------------------------

I could only weep in my secluded chambers

Cascading silver lights defying dark gravity

I could only cavort toward the ebbing waves

Menageries linger amongst breathless insanity.

I was cautioned by many of zealous mornings

Waning nights merging with adjunct wilderness

Leary shadows casted off their heavy weights

Within indolent eyes smiling by timid blitheness.

And albino moons did hide among tall lithe trees

Wrestling many faiths with receding consequences

Humble canyons mourned our love’s endearment

As silence of death stretched beyond the distances.

Exceptional poetry--slightly obscure, wholly relevant.
Nothing substantial can be added to what the poet has said.
Work most of the rest of us can only hope, someday, to approach.
Kudos, Sami!

Sami, God has indeed blessed you with a gift. Your poetry is nothing short of amazing. You blow me over and up into a spiritual space so peaceful and calm. Just devine, every single time. And albino moons did hide among tall lithe trees, Wrestling many faiths with receding consequences, Humble canyons mourned our love’s endearment, As silence of death stretched beyond the distances. Amazing; Brilliant. Thank you again. Dale

Again...I was deeply saddened by this write, Sami. It felt like a dying romance to me or a love headed to doom. You got me here. It is so good!

First I like the pictures which shows the writers artistic taste and side . The piece is sentimental in nature and melancholic . To shed something is an expression of someone that is experiencing emotional pain and hurt and not afraid to let it show. To repress such natural response to sorrow and grief prolongs the healing to take place and numb the pain ... till its time to let go .

I love it Sami! Great job. The imagery was breathtaking. I love the part:

Simply Brilliant!

This is the best of yours yet, I think. The words were carefully woven together to produce a detailed, wonderful imagery that's hard to beat. The last stanza is my favorite.

"Wrestling many faiths with receding consequences" and "As silence of death stretched beyond the distances." Lovely.
