Implore

Implore

A Poem by slnmten

This darkness envelops

a continued silence

of prolonged cruelty,

a silent apathy

that sits as a stone,

caged by the ribs

you once broke

to make my line.

The quiet has

become deafening

as my faith spasms,

wanting and waiting

for your embrace.

So I implore you

to compel me,

fight me,

save me,

condemn me,

give me your white-hot,

as I lay,

with outstretched hands,

for you,

to take all of me.

I sit

with bound eyes

of reverence

and beg you

to see me,

see you.
