I am all things

I am all things

A Poem by Srchaud
"

I never do poems, but I thought this was fun, so why not. Ignore grammer and spelling. Hope at least it sets the imagination free.

"
I danced with the moon,
touched the sun and kissed  stars.
Slid  the rings of saturn,
jumped over mecury and mars.

Laughed with gas giants,
and soared the milky way.
Spun around the earth
and breathed night into day.

Caught comets and asteroids,
and shouted on rings.
Winked the eye of jupiter,
and heard the universe sing.

Seen black holes strip naked,
and neutrons stars giggle.
Hugged gammer ray bursts,
and made rays of light wiggle.

I sail off to time,
heavens light of far places,
and beyond the speckled sea,
deep voids and cold spaces

I am infinity.
I have done all with more to do.
I am certainly me,
But most of all I am you.

Nothing really serious. I enjoy writing gothic fantasy and steampunk, so this is out of my realms of comfort, but yeah sometimes its nice to do something different.

This was such a light and airy poem which is unique because it's so strongly contrasted with the dark, empty atmosphere that is space. Typically when a writer wants to use "deep voids and cold spaces" he/she uses it for a more solemn mood. I really enjoyed how you stepped away the usual and brought a fun feel to this setting. Great work!

This piece is amazing. Beautiful personification and imagery. The universe itself felt like a living thing. And that ending...I wonder how many people actually got the reference.

thank you for taking the time to read. It means alot that you liked it.
I like it short form and very playful words. Offering to reader became more then reader . But also co- creator in own mind. I like also ending i am you it's can be quiet truth. We are all connected . You say nothing really serious but like Mozart's little night music poem asking why we are here and who are we.

Thank you. I wanted something playful that brings your imagination back to childhood.

You make great job with this creation of yours.
Imagination freed. Poems don't have to be always serious, or always anything for that matter. Still, this poem, while playful, didn't feel like it's just a writer playing around.

It's jam-packed with imagery as much as space is filled with matter. The personifications worked nicely as well. The universe, for all its dead stars, felt alive. Glad to be a part of it.

Wow!!! that is with wonderful imagination, its like hopping into universe, playing with planets and stars.
You made all the universal things toys. That was full of fun and enjoyment to read, actually feel.

Thank you, It has been years since I wrote a poem and forgot how fun it can be.
And very much a fun read for me :)
I think this is very well written, with the right amount of playfulness about it. The last stanza stands out to me.

Psst, I think it should be 'deep voids' in the second last stanza...
