A Chapter by Dave Brown

With Autumn coming our way

Blackberries are taking some peeks

They are looking to all ripen up

Say, in a couple-a-weeks

Tho’, Mother Nature sent a memo

Mentioning something bout taste

Suggesting to not ripen too quickly

And overlook taste in their haste

Sunlight was brought into the equation

And water, oh yes water for sure

Because without these able assets

Their taste won’t be as fresh and pure

Swarming over prickly branches

Till with attention they are terminally showered

Because little do these little yummy things know

They will soon be completely devoured

Don'tcha just love them purple oozing fruits? They grow wild here and are well on the way, but not ripe enough yet for plucking. Great in an apple pie. Yum yum Dave.

Not all at once I hope :)) That would be a teeny weeny bit greedy :)
I wouldn't want to be a plump berry for sure!
Enjoyed very much.
