Chance For Flight

Chance For Flight

A Chapter by Dave Brown

The wind sent me a message

About a chance for flight

Saying I should step outside

And bring along my kite

I attached it to a line

And fed it to the breeze

Which then took hold of us

To fly above the trees

Over hill and valley

And across each mountain top

And when we reached the seven seas

We didn’t think to stop

Then in the Gobi desert

To get some food to carry

Were served at the local water hole

By a car hop dromedary

When we set off again

We were shooting for the stars

But with wind running short of breath

It meant a U-turn around Mars

Then back to Earth’s rich of green

The three of us returned

Where we all sat down to have

Our next flight reconfirmed
