Mango Sky

Mango Sky

A Chapter by Dave Brown

A gentle cloud

In a mango laden sky

A thought, a dream

Gently drifts by

Magic being re-made

Softly, lightly on high

Where stardust sprinkles

And moonbeam’s blink an eye

While lover’s lay watching

The bright of butterfly

Twisting and turning

In the lightest of air

With its dainty beauty

A blossom to share

Like a painting of the Madonna

At which to just stare

Light holds her tender

As its treasured prize

To be adored

Only by man’s eyes

You're welcome..
you too..
God bless you.
When I listen to people who live among crowds, their minds seem crowded with whatever current strife or acquisition is front-of-mind. But for people who have tuned out that noise (for the most part) & tuned into nature, you've nailed it, how different it can be. Everything doesn't need to be verbalized. Lots of times it's enuf to just observe & feel the magic of it. Very magical poem (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

This is a wonderful ode to the beauty of nature. I especially like the ending where it actually reaches such heights that it's touching the realms of religious adoration. I really enjoy poems like this because the they are visual and have a quiet, contemplative mood. Some poems are suitable for recitation, and others - in my opinion - are born and live in a realm of science. This one belongs to the latter.
