A Caress

A Caress

A Chapter by Dave Brown

I moved toward her

Caressed neath an ear

Touching the soft cheek

Of this person so dear

Then took the waist

Of this gentle so slight

Feeling as though

My heart would take flight

We walked the seawall

To the tune of a loon

Lit by the night light

Of a full moon

We had no destination

But we didn’t mind

To each other

We were completely blind

That was long ago

A time that has passed

It seems happiness

Wasn’t meant to last

Life stepped in

And rolled the dice

And we were just two

That paid a price

Sorry it didn't last, but a wonderful tender moment worth remembering. Nice one.

No flies at the moment, but you know how they are.
