Stealing Pigs

Stealing Pigs

A Chapter by Dave Brown
"

😒

"

Tom the piper’s son

Inclined to steal a pig

Thought about a grab and run

But the pig was too big

Leaving that very large pig in its pen

Tom headed out again

Over to the house of Tommy Tucker

Being very careful about his father Wayne

Who would shut down any pig stealing game

But Tommy was a hot-wiring pro

And Tom had found a truck-to-go

He’d found a little rusty Datsun pickup

Which Tommy got going with nary a hick-up

As they drove to the pen for the pig

From a jug, both took more than a swig

At the pig pen, things looked copacetic

With liquid courage, they felt energetic

Eating being something they had a stake-in

And with a taste for excellent bacon

They silently approached the pen to break-in

But this Pig wasn’t to be easily taken

Jumping into the pig pen, both landed in slop

The pig started running and wouldn’t stop

Tom slipped into it face first

As farmer and shotgun, from the house burst

Using the threat of his firearm

The farmer saved his pig from harm

Not finding it at all hard

To keep two dumb Toms under guard

Unfortunately for the Toms of this hog fable

Their night ended at the booking table

The arresting Constable, with distain on his face

Labelled them as a pig stealing disgrace

A wonderful tale shared Dave. Those large pigs can be mean too. I liked the ending. Those old farmers always prepared for the crooks in the night. Thank you for sharing the fun and entertaining chapter.

that is very good and if you ever do decide to steel probably a pig is not a great place to start

Haha true!
Justice was done, and I have to say it is good to hear that. Too many nowadays getting away with stuff. I always love the way you convey your stories in poetical format. Also as I am very fond of bacon, I am pleased to hear that those pigs are in the right place, being looked after until I need a bacon sammich. Would thois happen to be a local story by any chance?
