Forget ?

Forget ?

A Poem by Desert Knave
"

A touch of romance for Day 4 of National Poetry Month 2020

"

Yes,

I guess

that someday

come what may

I could

forget you.

But

let me

be clear

my dear...

it will be

a second

or three

after my heart

forgets

to keep

beating.

So romantic.....some people you can not forget till you close your eyes for the last time....those are the ones that left special footprints on your heart and soul. Just lovely. Lydi**

Thank you so much for your kind words. ~Jim
Your poem is "tongue in cheek" but actually very
romantic for a "ticker" that kept the 'torch' burning
forever and a day. Be well.... keep breathing and
be romantic for a long and fruitful life. truly, Pat
