Autumblings

Autumblings

A Poem by Robert Trakofler (Bad Bunny)

__Autumblings__

 Recall when I was small;

eyes waken to amber light hues;

cast upon my bedroom wall.

I gaze from my window to view;

autumns brush blushing call;

impressionist leaf retinue.

Dash outside catching fall;

to traipse in seasons rendezvous.

Cold crisp airs, bracing breeze;

shaking as tree limbs wave to greet.

Wind rustle symphonies;

Bustling leaves to dance  entreat.

Draft scent of musty spice;

As face falls pon leaf pile to meet.

Turn to gaze canopy;

dream trick or treats on Halloween.

Robert, it's difficult to trigger so many senses in a few short lines. But, you've done that masterfully here. You transport us to our youth, when leaf piles and Halloween were our thoughts and fun. An original work with a happy mood this October day. Another remarkable work, sir.

That's a pretty good poem, man. Lot's of golden, sweet imagery. Like the way you made the rhymes and half rhymes seem like effortless scribbles. Symphonies and all that, you put on a nice poetic dance. Have a good one.

You're welcome, bro.
Love the title; conjures up the tumbling of the falling leaves. Such beautiful colours abound in Autumn, it's my favourite season of them all; though the new buds of spring run a very close second.

Robert, that's the season I love the most. The light is so magical, making everything almost transparent, sparkling, alive. Reading your poem aloud, as I often do to feel the rhythm, I could see the colours, and smell the leaves, and feel the breese. If I close my eyes, I can almost picture your little you, merging with the man you are, wanting to capture this miracle of Nature and give it to us. Thank you.

You have stimulated my senses in this lovely autumnal offering through the eyes of little you. Bunny it was a delight and also reminded me of my childhood too. Mind you, I still like to catch and kick leaves now. Some of us never grow up.
