Spinning Souliloquy

Spinning Souliloquy

A Poem by Robert Trakofler (Bad Bunny)
"

don't know what this is but it is a very old dream the I recently remembered

"

__Spinning Souliloquy__

Sorrow Swim splash stepping circles forming

A collective motion wave whirlpool flow

Loose my steps to float pon the swirling throws

look to the blushing sundown hues warming

Nature’s curtain call cues fire flies swarming

sight gently fades my display to stars glow

Slip Steps spurring my waterspout solo

Peek Pulsing Planets mimic performing

leap from pool wishing to share all I see

dash up to house shout for parents, siblings

no one is home I’m alone not a soul

walk back outside scream “where are they?” I plea

watch as my celestial view starts slipping

single tear falls that this gift remains sole

A dream of seeing something so intensely beautiful and wondrous and wishing to share it with loved ones, only to feel abandoned. A child who experiences loneliness and uncertainty and fear of being deserted by a mother perhaps? As always unadulterated alliteration.

An existential gem. Loving the cosmic allusions:)

How sad when they are not there to share and affirm your experiences- good and bad. B.B., you capture such pathos in your passionate, sensitive lines. I hear the rhythmic cadence and silky spin of alliteration as if spoken plaintively by your inner child. Your last line brings a tear to my eye that joins with you in a rivulet of need. I understand this dream. Hopefully those who we love, do hear- whether on earth or beyond. Thank you and I hear you. Blessings.

That's the worst form of loneliness. To have so much to share when it seems nobody is really present to receive the gift. I remember something I wrote long ago: "beauty hurts, when there's nobody to share it with". That's your tear at the end of the poem. I love your sensitive inner child.

oh I could hug you for days Shandra!
Strangely, I recall the same mood and emotions when I found myself alone as young boy with a baseball glove, bat and ball, my father on another overnight trip, my brother gone or not interested in playing ball. In those moments of such loneliness, we yearn not just for enjoying the moment but sharing it... sadly, not knowing until years later the memory hurts as much as the original experience. You have a gift for not only alliteration, but creating such powerful moods in your work. Another remarkable poem and artwork.

Even as an adult, there are times I need to share something special with family....with the ones who share my history. Alas, they are all gone now....I am the last woman standing. Parents, aunts, uncles, cousins.....but they are still in my heart and when I experience something special I'd like to think they are watching and smiling. The loneliness in this one is palpable....and the disappointment. The alliteration is only rivaled by Margie's. The two of you can do this like no others. Lydi**

I am catching a strong parallel between your message here, connecting sky & water . . . with the poem I wrote when I was reading "Moby Dick" last week & then looked up at the full moon sky swirls! I love your word choices in this poem becuz they have a "soft" sound to them . . . shushing & swishing & swirling . . . sometimes you pick "hard" sounding words to populate most of a poem, which feels more cerebral & not so much sensory like this poem sounds. This is the way I like your writing the most . . . soft sensory strokes! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
