Typetuning

A Poem by Robert Trakofler
"

Bad Bunny played the typewriter to accompany my singing of these lyrics I apologize for the bad audio quality of my cell phone recording of this video:)

"

Typetuning

I feel your eyes embracing me

Touching my lines enlacing thee

Dawns penned

And

Longs sent

Thru

Drawn bends

To

Swan scend

Your

Don

Must realize your faith in me

Grace to revise this enquiry

Ascend

The

Amend

To

Transcend

And

Brighten

Your

Song

It's the little things that in the end will draw us closer together. The lilt of a well worn phrase, the slight c**k of an eyebrow, the inability to look you in the eye when embarrassed. You can miss a person or a personality, but only because you know at least a few of their secrets. Loved this.

Robert such simplicity in these lines until you try to duplicate it then it’s quite complex. A clever write I suppose that’s song writing for you.

What a lovely voice you have Bunny. I was taken by surprise, especially with the tapping of the typewriter keys worked in to the arrangement. It was most effective and reminded me of Atonement, a film I saw where a tyiewriter's keys had also been used to create an interesting sound effect. I am smiling and sincerely hope you do feel my eyes embracing you as I read each of your carefully chosen words. A delight Bunny. Happy Thanksgiving my friend.

Your verse took on a lovely breath in your voice Robert, ( looking at your image I expected a contralto)your tender, sweet vocals lent delightful essence to your words and from now on every time I read your poems I will be imagining you singing.

Robert, this is certainly one of the most creative pieces I’ve experienced in the Cafe. Kudos on your continued creativity. You never cease to amaze us.

What I take away from this entire work is the power of subtlety, the little things that make us unique, and especially when recognized and appreciated by someone we love. Another remarkable creation from you.
