Enough is Enough

After the attempted coup D'etat I added a few verses to my poem Burning Constitution! How ironic that these things happened right after I wrote that poem must of been something in the air?

Enough is Enough

I watched as a mob stormed the capitol

Secure in their well fabricated ire

Seems that they have had enough!

 

I watched as a the mobs of “the radicals”

Protests of capital punishments dire

Seems George Floyd had been enough!

 

Those many seeds of hate had blossomed fire

as the people scorched rebuff

Those “innocent” deceitful words inspired

The fractious flames for your conceited bluff

 

And in the rotunda that you defiled

The senate & congress said enough’s… enough!

And the peoples will, that you so reviled

blazed so very bright on that, our darkest night!

One would think "enough is enough" but we all know it won't be. One of our worst failures is believing, time after time, that there's some outlandish level of "dumbass" that will make Trump addicts give up their drug. I can't write about this topic becuz I'm sick of Trump & his constant noisy crap getting center stage of everyone's minds. Nobody has even noticed that 11,500 of our fellow Americans died in the past 3 days!! We need to wash this swamp stink out of our hair & stop giving the dolt all this attention that he thrives on. Scary that there are so many that are anti democracy. Unbelievable what they attempted to do, driven on by someone who will go down in history and will be remembered for all the wrong reasons. He whipped those supporters up into a frenzy. Shameful. Saying it like it is Bunny. Enough is enough and many of his own are now saying so. A poem for the times.

It would be somewhat satisfying to see him impeached before he does one more maniacal act but hopefully things will be over soon enough
as Margie says, the number of Covid deaths going on is just terrible and getting that a*****e out of the limelight can only help

Indeed, Bunny, it was a dark night. I have never seen anything like this in this country, and I lived through the 60''s. I don't count on the extremists giving up. We still have Inauguration Day to get through.
