Poetry~ My Incarnate Cantata

Poetry~ My Incarnate Cantata

A Poem by Fran Marie

my eyes rest on nature's view
as i walk 'pon the green silken grass

        the flower's fragrant scent
is my breath

parfumed air

          I hear
the birds sing sweet lullabies
as trees sway with a light
evening breeze

          soft clouds float by

      it's then~I think of you~
when  you laid me down in
fields of clover chanting
love poems  in soft tones
making music in love moans

kissed and caressed
I let you own
my lips ~ my  body
in dewdrop splendour

for you still have
my heart... my love
  to keep... its your's

but..  poetry still sings to me
clings to me claiming my soul
  my sweet incarnate cantata

Both sensual and poetic. Most things that are good have poetic qualities: nature; love; the arts. Poetic imagery from first line to last in this poem. A fine write!

Thanks Robert🌷
so true I appreciate
your kind review
Filled with both natural, sensuous and romantic imagery, this one. If poetry still gets top billing after all that, it really must be important.

yes..i suppose poetry is the air
some poets breathe..thanks for reading🌷
this piece exudes a dreamlike quality about it. As the reader is witness to a union of love in magical moment and nature. Excellent work Fran.
