On might say from this that a poet is a gardener and from what ye plant so shall ye reap they say. Another lovely Haiku that has deep roots. You seem to do Haikus very well. I often think they require more thought than a traditional poem. Lovely Marie

Yes, Haiku and Senryu take a bit of thought as the correct number of syllables per line is a must: 5, 7, 5 is the traditional Japanese Haiku. They are fun to write too and make one's imagination work a little harder. I hope you will experiment with either a Haiku (always about nature) or Senryu (about everything else that isn't nature) soon, dear friend...
