Tell the World to Stop Spinning

Tell the World to Stop Spinning

A Poem by H.E Watson
"

Poem about the feelings of immense loss.

"

Stop time, remove the church bell,

Take away the sun and the moon as well.

Say goodbye to the birds chirping in the trees,

Get rid of the colourful flowers and the bees.

Remove the memories of all these years,

Unplug the ocean, it will fill again with these tears.

Put a black sheet over the blue sky,

Close the shops, what I’ve lost you can’t buy.

Turn all the ground into ice,

Let the streets run ragged with mice.

Because inside my heart is so bare,

How could this world be so unfair?

The light at the end of the tunnel is a lie,

You try burying a loved one and saying  goodbye.

I am so sorry for your pain. the anger and lament are so palpable in this! Keep airing it out beat it into a pulp! Tell it to f**k off and maybe soon you might be able to let the healing begin

This for me is very much a poor mans " Funeral blues" from 4 weddings, which is no bad thing.
