![]() MemoriesA Poem by Norman 223![]() The "perils" and advantages of ageing![]() MEMORIES Exercise those
little grey cells Recall what went
before. But you may confuse the details Of what happened in
days of yore. You'll remember how
you impressed your peers With your skills,
without any flaws But if you met those friends today Would their version
be like yours. But we all seem to
be Walter Mitty's Only remembering what we want to see. For our memories are
our private comfort. When we're not sure
what we'd like to be. Then somehow
contentment takes over When our limitations
are clear For though you may
lose the competitive urge Your pride now has nothing to fear. © 2021 Norman 223Reviews
