A Poem by Siege Powell

I walk upon the shoreline
Cool water on my skin
It’s hard to believe what’s out there
Is also found within
My soul longs for purpose
My body aches for touch
Never in my life
Have I felt alone this much
Sand dances in the tide pools
Minerals broken glittering free
If my energy is forever
Is that eventually me?
I don’t know where you are
Perhaps I’m doomed to walk alone
I’m getting weary of this loneliness
I need to find my home.
