Leaping Lupins

Leaping Lupins

Ripples of plush purples
vaporize the indigo rise
leaping lupins wistful
popcorn fizzles in fuchsia
gilded buttery drizzles
sashay lavender trickles
robins pluck out riddles
fiddle-sawing armadillo
big bouquets of bravado
wafting carnation cachet
tattooed by staccato sleet
clawed by parched mesquite
fluttering mauve and suave
shuffling by the snuffling
teetering a taunting tickle
overly-violet variety show.

sufferin saxifrage Margie … on first glance, I thought I was on the wrong channel there was so much blue, but then the purple and all its variants hit simultaneously and I was reminded of when some one slipped an acid tab into my Ribena whilst out on a field trip in the highlands of Scotland with Heather.. Yes sir.. there we were on what seemed like the side of a mountain and it was spring.. I was rather naïve, but Heather was all over and around me... I think it was probably them flashbacks that finally sent me lupin..... Wish you were here BG... Oh' love ya frock in the photo too, very apt (PUCE) fondly... and stay both safe and well...

A warm day in Michigan. Spring will come soon here and you are welcome dear Margie.
A lovely, lovely poem of effervescent delight. A pure joy to read. I feel the waves of color (US!!) throbbing through my synapses evincing a silly grin! I can even smell the perfume.
Surpassed yourself, Margie. P.

Your accompanying picture had me originally thinking this was Provence, but I see it is New Zealand; such lovely purple for a country known for its cold winters. Your words have taken this picture and pasted it on the page, not sure about the armadillos, though, a local reference without a doubt. This makes a nice change from all the depressive writes and Coronavirus hangups we all seem to be having, so kudos for stepping outside the square at this time. Much enjoyed!:))

Had to check this wasn't a collab' between you and Bunny! Love the way you dance your colours inside and around your phrases.. never a foot wrong, never a slip when you created, Margie. Thank you for filling my near sleep with the gifts i love more than many: colour, flowers and their meaning. With just a little adjustment, this could be sung to Catch a Falling Star !

Jeepers my tongue is tied in knots.
If you posted a poem amongst one hundred, all without authors name, I would 100% know which was yours. This says so much about your talent and unique style :))
Hope you are well Margie.

I recently saw a huge field full of Lavender waving in the breeze.
It was absolutely beautiful
This is what your lovely poem reminded me of.
It is no wonder your have difficulty sleeping, because you must lay awake all night coming up with all the rhyming and then having it all dance through your head all night long!!!
Instead of all that heavy work you could just write, "I like leapin Lupins lots" and then get a decent night's sleep
Just sayin
