I Love Women

I Love Women

A Poem by Erica Ross

Because of the way that we are inclined to give.
We give for giving’s sake "
Not expecting anything in return,
except for appreciation.
“Baby, are you hungry?”
“Do you need help with that?”
“Let me know if you need to talk"”
All with a look of genuine concern.
We give from our souls,
I don’t think we know of any other way.
For it is how we are designed.
And I mean really give.
The vulnerability that a woman shares with her lover is something sacred and spiritual.
The connection "
The way we allow our lovers to lay all of their weight on us
The way we return our lovers’ energy with bliss instead of pain
The way we give a new ring to the calling of your name...
We give life to all that we put our minds to.
A selfless creature,
Put here to nurture and to love
No matter if you’re a man or a woman
To have a woman is to know love.
