LOKI

LOKI

A Poem by gram linski

I bleed in canyons of doubt,
the mischief poet, the war child,
and a savage streak -
     - ( the bastardizer of myth, )

" forgive me, father, for I
shall kill you in the end, "

the blunt trauma of dying gods

     " forgive me brother,
I will betray you again and again, "

i will stab your intolerant heart
in forgiveness
my essence cannot be defined,

I am but a simple scorpion
to you my frog,
I will pierce your thunderous
hide,

                                        ( that mad god rage
                                        alchemy ) inherent                nature
                                        ( this chaos land
                                         drowns my dreams )

                                                                         mad genius fool
to die to be alive
     my dishonesty is honest
I do not lie about my lies
I am what you fail to see,

( the malice, mischief maleficent  mind
I shall be king of the dreams  you can
never find, }
" forgive me father, for I will sin, "

                                                the wolf within

I seem to recall that Loki was a Norse god who could shift from one shape to another. He was also unpredictable, sometimes helping the other gods, other times being treacherous. This work portrays him that way, and maybe a little crazy, too. Interestingly, here he tells the others of his evil deeds beforehand, preceding the advice with a plea for forgiveness. I really think the lad could do with a healthy jolt of lithium.
