A Poem by icaros13
"

_

"
Nineteen months
Heaven in a bottle
Hell in a handbasket

Love is not infinite

After all

The bliss
Melting, dropping,
Touching (souls)

Still haven't learned
What you think
You know

Keep speaking growth
Walking in circles
Assigning your own
Pain
To others

I won't walk in circles

The line "Assigning your own pain to others" is well put, my friend. Some people actually get pleasure when they make others depressed. I like the other line, "still haven't unlearned what you think you know." Great way of expressing a refusal to evolve- most excellent poem.

I was thinking about circles just the other day, well almost always I notice cycles in lives, especially the repeating ones of my own life. Do you notice this too? That we repeat over and over the same situation with different people or places? We can see the same circumstances year after year, how do we learn the moral lesson in order to break the pattern or cycles to move forward, what can we do differently this time? If we always try to do the right thing and it lands us in the same time continual loop, mind over matter you say, but if our minds create this existence then don't we create our same circumstance ourselves? And why cant we tell ourselves to "cut that s**t out"?

About
For we have thought the larger thoughts And gone the shorter way. And we have danced to devil's tunes, Shivering home to pray; To serve one master in the night, Another in the day. ..I do love.. more..
