My life

My life

A Poem by Wyrn Tiger

Sick of being beaten down, run aground, shushed so I can't make a sound. I wanted a reason why. Instead you left my to cry. I'm already Drowning in your words, so don't apologise. I'm already in pain from the knife in my back, so don't ask where I'm at. I was the one in pain standing in the pouring rain and I was the one guilty, thinking it was all my fault, when really your lies were just your default. You threw out comments and lies with no end. Leaving with a ton of questions the biggest of all was "Did I just loose a friend?"

when i lost my first ex...i felt i was losing my best friend...
but yes, i have gone through what this poem imparts to the reader...
that session of break-up when we are asked by the significant other who is leaving, how we are doing...
are we okay?
it's like in Shakespeare in Love when the Queen has already walked through the puddle and then all the gentlemen are laying down their cloaks for her....Too Late, Too late
i like the lies as default....excellent concept.
