Earl Grey Nights

Earl Grey Nights

A Poem by J.S. Oh

There’s a certain kind of magic

In the delicate bite of bitter black

And the bright bouquet of bergamot,

In the soft rustle of leaves

And the soothing drizzle that lures to sleep,

In the warmth of wooly throws

And the whispered wonders as tales unfold.

A simple poem on the feeling brought forth from drinking tea on an autumn's day. Succinct and pleasing.
