when words fall short

when words fall short

A Poem by Sawdust

When it's own virtue silence bestows,
a willful stillness time itself shows,
when truth and delusion seem to merge,
and questions out of nothing emerge.
when things can't e said and told,
deep sea secrets life tends to hold.
When eyes to are too guilty to share a glance,
and all lips sob is for a second chance.
when no longer pain little heart can bear,
and trust is washed way in it's tranquil tear.
when even soulmates have to depart
is the moment when words fall short.

Stunning poem. Beautiful flowing words that touch the heart, mind and soul. Lift the spirit too.

Good job. I really like the sense that so much of life goes beyond words. Cheers, Guy.

I love the gentle rhyme that flows through the entire poem till the last closing thought. Your poem is beautiful. I loved your opening line about silence. Each line there after just layered another jewel upon it.
