Mommy

A Chapter by Oran

No matter how many times I talk back at you,
No matter how many times, I'm told what to do,
No matter how many times, God changes the weather
There's no doubt, I want to be with you forever.

You see your son all alone in his room
You wonder what he thinks, and why he's so gloom
You wonder where he'll be when he's away from home
Well here he is, writing you a poem

He hopes you see him grow to be a writer
He thinks, with this poem, your pain grows lighter
He still doesn't care whether you're sick or not
"You're not washing the dishes, you're temprature's hot!"

As you lay down, I pray to God you're alright
As I write this, I hope I see you day and night
As I grow up and see you by my side,
I have to admit, you were always my guide

So lay down, mommy, and take a rest
It's okay for today, you're already the best
It may not mean much, but it's all I can do
I'll always love you, even when I'm as old as you
