When Dark Glows

When Dark Glows

A Poem by Rashi Jain
"

"
I wish you know
How eagerly I wait for the clock to strike twelve,
When everyone around me fall into a sound midnight sleep,
And I am set free to hear your voice calling out my name.
It's so mesmerizing thinking of you and me away from all the figures,
with I losing myself to you ,
and you forgetting the whole world for me.
Just for the while, just for that while.
This is the light that I admire to be in.
I wish I could tell you,
how foolishly I wait for my phone to ring,
With your name displayed.
And that wait rarely is fulfilled,
for I see the clock and you adore your stock
of all the tricks you will sell to me.
I hate to catch you turning our memories complex,
so that they can be easily restored.
I still wonder why you dig puddles on the simplest path we walk on.
I still wait for you to say the name you gave me.
And the clock strikes Six.
And when the Sun glows with all the energy it possesses,
It changes you to the darkest
into someone I don't remember knowing and
the source of light takes away all my illuminated rays.
So if Midnight is our light,
I wish for no morning to shine.

I just fell in love with your poem..You know I read it over and over again..I really liked it..I can imagine how much you love that person for whom this poem is..That person is indeed lucky...I wished if someone would have felt this way for me too..let it be , its not in my fate...Anyway , the lines that I loved most were the last two lines..In fact everything in the poem was expressed so well , that I like each and every line of it..The way a girl waits waits for the call..I loved your entire poem..You are indeed a great poet who expresses her feelings so well...
Keep on writing...

If a person brings you shine in the dark hours also, then no lights matters from the day hours...the light the special one brings is the brightest light than anything ever.

Thankyou ♥☯
WOWZA, that was so deeply passionate. Amazing writing.

I think of the song that says "Because the night belongs to lovers, because the night belongs to lust."

That's true.Thankyou 💕☯
Rather than do a critique I just sent you a message I hope was helpful. Good depth of emotion and the haunting implication of the midnight rendezvous is both chilling and thrilling. I also like the powerful ending it adds impact to your poem at just the right spot, masterfully done my friend Bravo! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap!

This part of the poem stood amazingly to me, whoa. Daylight ain't the only light, and you understand that full and well here.

Excellent piece, Rashi. x

My pleasure!
When we feel bright and happy, we feel that to be our morning. Even though it is midnight or past 3 A.M.
One no more waits for sunlight if night makes them perfectly joyful. I loved the last line the most it has so much to interpret. Great job, I really liked this.
