Tommy Cobain

Tommy Cobain

A Poem by tomgoonery

It's hard to explain
What's wrong with my brain?
Even my loved ones have called me insane
I live in the dark, I'm lovin' the pain
I just bought a shotgun, I'm Tommy Cobain
I'm already dead, I'm dying again
Admire the beauty - my lifeless remains
I'm going to hell, but I cannot complain
Like, sure, hell is hot, but at least it don't rain
I'm cutting my losses, I'm dying in vain
Awaited some changes, but all was the same
I'm broke in the heart, and it's looking for change
I envy the joy that I cannot attain

The heaviness of your writing I truly hope isn't the heaviness of your soul. As gloomy and doomful as this poem is, the rhyming that never deviates from the core of the meaning is impeccable. I'm a little dark myself, but nothing like this, yet this drew me in and made me see a little better what it must be like in comfortable darkness. Very well written.
