Jenny (formerly Horrorgal)

I'm a 30-something-year-old single mom to two dogs, one of whom is giving me the "I'm bored" whine as I type this. I've been writing off and on for the last four years, and I'm currently working on a novel in what little spare time I have. I own my own business, and I'm training for a half marathon this fall (ouch, thirteen miles is a long way to run!).

You probably won't see much of my writing here. I rarely post anything I've written on the Internet. I'm actively trying to sell my short stories, so posting them for free is sorta counterproductive. I'm mostly here to participate in talking about writing and commenting on the works of others. I write horror and romatic suspense (or horror-lite!). I've also written a couple of science-fiction short stories and one literary flash fiction, which has been published.

If you're ever in the mood for snark, come check out my blog at horrorgal.blogspot.com. I started it after I ran into a character named Nickolaus Pacione on another writing forum and after he sent me several vulgar, homophobic, and misogynistic e-mails in response to a comment I made on one of his stories. On the blog, I review his truly atrocious dreck and occasionally comment on his continued threats. It's a nice break from my serious writing.

I've also just launched tabloidpurposes.com to showcase my book, "Tabloid Purposes: A Road Trip". TP:ART is a work of fiction and parody, but web site also has some good warning links regarding Lake Fossil Press. Check it
