Mary Collins

Professionally I have been a teacher for 30 years. Currently I am a middle school language arts teacher in a small midwestern community. I like to say that I have taught everything from 4 to 14 with not a lot of appreciable difference between the two extremes. My personal life is one of quiet daily living. I have been married to the same wonderful man for 30+ years and have never regretted the "I do" said so many years ago. We have raised one son who is the joy of my life. I am so proud of him that words cannot express. I am an unashamed and unrepentant Lord of the Rings addict and have been since 1976. I have found Tolkien's use of imagery and language a gateway to other worlds. I am also a HUGE fan of J.K. Rowling and the world of Harry Potter. I tend to lean to young adult fiction, but as I am a teacher of middle schoolers, that makes perfect sense...to me at any rate.
