Not long ago I resigned my executive role in corporate America to write full-time. I decided to abandon board meetings and constant business travel around the country to cities I never had time to enjoy. I bought a lake home where I spend a few months a year with my husband of 24 years and our four rescue dogs. I sequester myself from distractions and write, and have never been happier.
