We've been there. We know the loneliness of the aspiring writer. We know the rejection. We know the longing for validation and a critical friend. Aspiring writers are our people.

We exist to help our people. Although we will strive to be that honest critical friend, we do not believe it helps to be mean. Every effort will be taken to be as supportive and uplifting as we would hope someone would be with our own writing. Saybird offers beta reading services (for free) to projects which align with our interests.

Our primary interest is good writing, which, we realize, is vague and lame. To be more specific, we love elements of mystery, humor, and the weird. But we are open to most any ideas: literary, sci-fi, non-fiction, YA, horror, alt lit.
