I am 14, in grade 9. writing poetry and journal entries are really a huge part of my life. I plan on going to college to become a journalist, if not that i am going to study vocal music, because i also enjoy writing songs, and singing. my favorite bands are my chemical romance, and cute is what we aim for. my favorite subject is English, and i have an amazing teacher, who also writes, and sings.! The reason I started writing was because growing up, I had it pretty bad. I was going through alot, and I mean alot, of depression, and self-hatred. I lost my grandmother, who was also my best friend, suddenly in 2006, and it drove me over the edge. I became violent, with myself, and others. It was like there was another person inside me, controlling my life. Then I started using a journal everyday. It helped me to suppress some of those memories that I didn't want to keep. Yet, those memories will be with me forever, they aren't as strong as they were 2 years ago. A few years before my grandmother passed away, my aunt committed suicide. It effected me pretty bad. After that, I started abusing my self. 4 years have passed, and I still feel sick everytime i think of them. That's just how much I miss them, and it proves how much I loved them. Writing has gotten me through the toughest times in my life, not over them, but through them.... xx
